Biography
Iffat Maab is a Project Postdoctoral Researcher at the National Institute of Informatics, Japan. She received her Ph.D. in 2024 from the Matsuo Lab at the University of Tokyo, Japan, and has industrial experience at Toshiba Corporation, Japan. Her research focuses on knowledge representation and retrieval-augmented techniques for automated fact-checking, utilizing large language models (LLMs) to tackle misinformation detection issues. She also works on bias detection across digital media, analyzing representation disparities in online platforms and news sources.
