National Institute of Informatics begins seeking licensees for SYNTHETIQ VISION, a program developed to automatically determine the authenticity of fake facial videos

Inter-University Research Institute Corporation, Information and Systems Research Organization, National Institute of Informatics (NIINII(Director: Yoshio Kurohashi, Chiyoda-ku, Tokyo) has announced the development of an automatic fake face detection program developed by NII called "SYNTHETIQSynthetic VISIONVisionWe will be accepting proposals for businesses that will operate a licensing business for "The Game" from May 24th.

With the spread of e-KYC (electronic Know Your Customer: online identity verification) and the increase in fake videos, social expectations and needs for determining the authenticity of synthetic media (videos created by AI) have rapidly increased. In response to this, an environment in which companies can continue to conduct business is required, and companies that wish to use the latest research results must be able to use them efficiently and quickly. To solve this problem, we are looking for companies that will conduct business with the aim of smoothly transferring the technology of "SYNTHETIQ VISION," a program that automatically determines the authenticity of fake face videos, which is the result of NII's research. We aim to disseminate the research results widely to society through collaboration between NII and the companies.
